Schools:
Limestone District School Board has 54 elementary schools (junior kindergarten to grade 8). International students are placed in homestay families, or live with relatives and attend a school near their home.
Programs:
Long Term Stays: International students are placed in a classroom with Canadian students their age. They follow the same program as other children. They receive extra instruction in English if necessary. Students usually stay for at least one semester (5 months) and often for a year or longer.
Short Term stays: Limestone offers elementary students the chance to study with Canadian students for short periods of time – 2 weeks to several months. Homestay is also available.
