Homestay

Our homestay program offers the opportunity for international students to study in Kingston while living and learning English with a Canadian family. Host families offer assistance, support and encouragement to our international students as well as a warm safe environment.

Homestay includes; three meals a day, their own room and access to most of the home’s facilities including laundry.

All host families are interviewed. We do home visits, police checks and require letters of reference. This procedure ensures the safety of our international students and the quality of our program.

Our homestay program has access to interpreters in many languages.

Students who live in homestay must speak English. Consequently, they learn English faster and have more opportunity to practice.


How much is Homestay?

Homestay Fee      Academic Year (September–June)  $750 per month
                             Summer (July & August)                $850 per month
This amount is to be paid by the student (or his/her family) at the 1st of each month to the homestay parent.

Homestay Administration Fee       $400 one-time only
We arrange homestay.

Custodianship Fee                          $400 per year
We provide guardianship document and homestay monitoring.

Damage Deposit Fee                       $500
It will be returned when the student leaves our program without giving any damage to the homestay.
